Metadata operations in XFS have historically been slower than with other file systems, resulting in, for example, poor performance syste operations such as deletions of large numbers of files.
XFS in this application is simple cargo-culting. This package automates common tasks such as downloading, normalizing, and annotating raw GEO data. XFS is so much better than Reiser that it can’t be measured with numbers.
